Attila László Fusion Circus

Attila László Fusion Circus is the newest supergroup of award-winning Hungarian jazz guitarist and educator Attila László. In addition to the rhythm section, the band also features a three-piece horn section, expanding the arrangement options for performing Attila László’s unique compositions. As each band member is also a brilliant soloist, Fusion Circus concerts offer an exciting mix of sonic colors and rhythms, blending them into melodic, high-energy jazz fusion.

 

Attila László has played with such jazz greats as Anthony Jackson, Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker, James Moody, Tommy Campbell, Billy Cobham and Peter Erskine. He has led his own bands since 1975. In the 1980s, he founded Things with Tony Lakatos, a band that practically introduced jazz fusion in Hungary. As a composer, arranger and musician, Attila has worked with Hungarian pop/rock icon Charlie for over 28 years. He also served as musical director for the Charlie Jazz concerts in the 2000s.

The albums of Attila's various jazz outfits are true gems that are sought after by discerned jazz fans all over the world. He is an associate professor at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy's Jazz Faculty where he has been an educator since 1987. Currently he also leads the Academy's big band.
