Béla Lattmann

A graduate of the Jazz Bass Faculty of the Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music, Béla Lattmann is a fixture in Hungary's jazz and pop scene. Being one of the finest and most in-demand bassists of his generation, he has played on more than 100 albums to date and has been a steady member in the stage bands of local pop stars Charlie and Zorán. His collaboration with Attila László dates back to more than 40 years ago.

 

Béla toured extensively in the USA and Europe (Ankara Jazz Festival, Moscow Jazz Festival) and also played in India and Israel. He has playd with the likes of Toots Thielemans, George Duke, Billy Cobham, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer and Tommy Campbell.

 

Since 1989 he has been teaching jazz bass at the Jazz Faculty of the Liszt Academy of Music. He has contributed to the development of curricula for bass guitar studies at primary and higher levels and is the author of textbooks on the subject.
